The Main Street

Lately I've been working on a portfolio of images for a website that will be launched next month. More on that later. Some of the images I've been taking I really love and have been wanting to share - but alas, I'll continue to keep them a secret so the group I'm taking them for can have first pic of the good ones :). However, here's one of my personal favorites that I don't think will make the cut for their site.

Grave-Heart

Charlottesville Running Company hosted the 1st annual "Danger Zombie Run - 5K". Robin and our friends Bri and Ben (pictured front and center above) ran the race, Nate and I were there to document the event. More pics to come.

I think one of the funniest things about the race was the course. Somehow the organizers managed to weave the 3.2 mile (5K) race past nearly every church in town. Lets see: the race started at 8:30 am on Sunday morning. Hmmm. 600 runners. 300 of which were dressed as zombies - chasing the other 300 through the streets of downtown Charlottesville while the church crowd was trying to make it to their weekly service. Lets just say it was a good time!!

Life's Short: Play Violin and Hula Hoop

Now that spring is in full swing, and summer is in the horizon the Charlottesville Downtown Mall is full of street performers and musicians.  I came across Peter and just had to take his photo.  Playing violin is impressive enough, but hula hooping at the same time, well, that's amazing.
