Not until a few weeks ago did I have any idea what breed Amos' was. Then someone tipped me off that he may be a coon-hound. I did a little research and sure enough, Amos seems to be a Redbone Coonhound. From the description of coat, personality, instincts and temperament Amos seems to be a Redbone through and through.
Its amazing how much I feel like I have bonded with him just since finding that out. In some way I know a little more of his story, piecing together potential paths his life may have taken on.
It was nearly a year ago that Amos was scheduled to be put down becuase he had exhausted his time limit at the pound. I'm so glad he found his way to us mere hours before that happened!
